1. Coaching Leadership & Psychological Safety

The implementation of a coaching leadership style profoundly improved my development and our team dynamics. During planning for World Refugee Day, my supervisor regularly paused to explicitly solicit my views. This practice increased my confidence and demonstrated how psychological safety amplifies contributions and innovation. That said, coaching can be challenging for newer members who may initially need clearer guidance before transitioning to autonomy.

2. Weekly Meetings as a Managerial Tool

Our Monday morning meetings created transparency and clear allocation. We reported progress, challenges, and plans, which maintained timelines and avoided miscommunication. For example, when outreach delays surfaced, responsibilities were quickly redistributed to prevent setbacks. However, consensus on complex topics sometimes prolonged discussions, impacting efficiency.

3. Digital Collaboration: Power & Limits

Heavy reliance on WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Docs, Monday.com, and Miro streamlined operations. Real-time co-editing reduced duplication, while task boards increased visibility. Still, WhatsApp groups could be overwhelming at high volume, causing delayed responses—highlighting the need for clearer communication protocols.Tag relevant members Channels for urgent items Inbox labels & filters

4. Resource Allocation & Cost-Effectiveness

Budget constraints prompted rigorous evaluation of cost-effectiveness. We initially proposed premium materials for workshops, then—through democratic discussion—selected affordable, equally impactful alternatives. This conserved resources and stimulated collaborative problem-solving.

  • Clarify constraints → align expectations
  • Compare options on impact vs. cost
  • Choose substitutes without quality loss

5. Reflection & Continuous Improvement

After each activity, we held feedback sessions and reviewed participant responses to identify improvements.Especially Post Enggang & Pipit, we realized initial designs were too complex, so we simplified content and clarified facilitation. Subsequent events showed higher satisfaction and participation.
